….and in it mike and I were living in a beautiful renovated home that was all ours. I woke up to a baby crying and dragged myself out of bed to check on our son. After calming him down I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I stopped at the nursery door to make sure he had fallen back asleep and realized he wasn’t there. For a second I was terrified, and I hurried into our bedroom, only to find mike cradling our son, trying to lull him to sleep. They looked so perfect together; both with piercing blue eyes and jet black hair and perfect skin. I felt warm and happy, and giggled when I noticed our son was wearing a onesie that said “baby boy”. Mike always calls me baby girl and I always imagined he would call our daughter that one day if we had children.
I woke up and realized mike had come home from work and snuggled up next to me in bed. I told him about my dream, and he said, ” That sounds nice,” and kissed my neck. Then the kittens climbed in bed and we became a fantastic pile of warmth and love.
I’ve never been so happy, secure, and loved.
